Homemade Sesame Chicken

How many of us have spent a fortune eating out?  With this recipe you can make your take-out and have it for a night in! Trust me, it’s simple!

  • 1 bag of frozen popcorn chicken (usually 1-1.5 lbs)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 6 Tbs honey
  • 2 Tbs White Distilled Vinegar
  • 2 Tbs Soy Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

1. Cook popcorn chicken according to package directions.  I cooked mine in the oven (the other option was the microwave). {Yep, Kobe likes to watch me cook.}

3. When chicken is cooked, put all chicken in the saucepan and stir/toss until chicken pieces are covered.

4. Serve over a bed of white rice.  Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. (You can also put the sesame seeds in with the sauce if you would like.  This will make them softer to eat, but might not look “pretty.” It’s your preference!)
